Reading aid - PDF download
12 pages: 4 dance notation, 6 reading aid
In the original, the usual positions of man and woman are consistently swapped on all sides. I can only assume that this is because this dance originally followed another dance in a sequence, be it in a dance suite or an opera, in which the two dancers ended up in swapped places, or that it is a "small" error when the printing plate was engraved the other way round. And was simply ignored because of the high cost of a new plate. (This hypothesis is contradicted by the fact that it appears consistently on all three plates)
I have therefore corrected the positions in the reading aid.
A reading aid is available in printable form for many dances.
This is intended to make reconstruction easier for dancers who are not yet familiar with the feuillet notation.
A transparent graphic is placed over the cleaned up feuillet notation, on which the step name is assigned to the respective step in the font.
For each dance position, usually the women's or men's side, a reading aid is created for each choreography page.
This reading aid can also simply be used as a memory aid or to refresh your memory.
